Gary began his career as a graphic designer more than 30 years ago before pursuing his long‑held passion for fine art. His early digital collection, Ethnic Reflections, led to major corporate commissions and opened the door to a successful run with the Water Colour Society of South Africa, where multiple exhibitions selected all his submitted works—earning him associate membership in record time.

His wildlife pieces went on to receive several Highly Commended awards, including Viewers’ Choice among more than 180 works. Since then, Gary has built a loyal following of collectors worldwide. His wildlife, landscapes, and pet portraits now hang in homes across the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

How it works

Getting started is easy. Simply fill in the order form and upload your favourite (hi-resolution) photo and choose your preferred size and style. Gary will keep you updated throughout the process and ship your finished portrait safely to your address.
Here’s a step‑by‑step list of the essential procedures you should follow when ordering a pet portrait painting/drawing:
- Fill in the website form below
- Send several high‑quality photos showing clear facial details , true colouring and personality and expression
- Receive a detailed quote including price, timeline, shipping or delivery options

- Approve the quote to proceed

- You will receive a Payfast request for payment via email for the required 50% deposit to reserve your place in the artist’s schedule.

- Receive confirmation of your booking and estimated completion date.

- The artist prepares a digital mock‑up or composition layout.

- You approve the final layout before painting/drawing begins.

- The artist starts the portrait.

- Progress updates may be provided depending on the artist’s workflow.

- Once the painting is complete, you receive photos of the finished artwork.
- Settle the remaining balance before shipping or collection.
- The artwork is varnished (if applicable), securely packaged, and shipped.

- Tracking details are provided.

- Confirm the portrait has arrived safely.

- Share feedback, testimonials, or photos of the artwork in your home.

VERY IMPORTANT

To ensure a truly lifelike and expressive portrait, please provide high‑resolution, well‑lit photographs of your pet that clearly show their features, personality, and natural colouring. Images should be sharp, taken from a flattering angle, and rich in detail so the artwork can capture your pet’s unique character. If a photo does not meet these requirements or cannot be used as a reliable reference, the artist reserves the right to request alternative images.
